The Japanese government awarded longtime Boston-area resident Atsuko TokoFish with the Order of the Rising Sun, 4th Class, Gold Rays with Rosette, in Tokyo last week.
Emperor Akihito of Japan presented Fish with the award in a ceremony at the Imperial Palace on Nov. 7.
