Accommodations apply to all parts of the naturalization process:

An accommodation changes how you go through the process. It does not excuse you from any requirements. For example, you still need to take the English and civics tests, but you might be given extra time or allowed to write your answers.
If you have a disability that prevents you from meeting the English or civics requirements entirely, you may qualify for a medical disability exemption using Form N-648. This is a separate process. Ask a Project Citizenship staff member if you think this applies to you.
How to Request an Accommodation
You don’t need to navigate this on your own. If you are working with Project Citizenship, simply let a team member know that you need an accommodation and describe what you need. We will take care of submitting the request to USCIS on your behalf.
The earlier you let us know, the better. Some accommodations, like sign language interpreters or off-site interviews, require advance planning.
