Naturalization Application Fee Waiver for Military Veterans and Active Service Members
Veterans or active service members of the U.S. military who qualify for naturalization through their service in the U.S. armed forcesdo not have to pay the application fee associated with the N-400. To qualify for this waiver, military members should submit:
Form N-400, Application for Naturalization (including any additional documents required by Form N-400).
Form N-426, Request for Certification of Military or Naval Service, if the applicant is currently serving in the U.S. armed forces. This form must be certified by military personnel with certifying authority.
Veterans should submit, for each period of service, the following documents:
DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, OR
NGB Form 22, National Guard Report of Separation and Record of Service, OR
Other official discharge document
