On Saturday, July 18, 2015, the Project Citizenship team partnered with Mayor Dan Rivera of Lawrence and the Lawrence Senior Center for Citizenship Day in Lawrence. The event was highly successful as 117 applicants attended the event from seven different countries! Applicants came from the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Argentina. 56 volunteers completed 71 applications and screened many other potential applicants for eligibility. Goodwin Procter deserves special recognition for sending 15 volunteers.
