Celebrate Constitution Day 2021 with Project Citizenship!
What is Constitution Day?
Constitution Day, observed on September 17, recognizes the adoption of the U.S. Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. We typically hold our largest in-person workshop of the year in celebration to help nearly 500 immigrants complete citizenship applications in one day! Instead of an in-person workshop, we’re hosting a series of virtual workshops on Zoom.
What is a workshop?
Workshops are what we call our group-processing model. We schedule applicants pre-screened as eligible to apply for citizenship for workshop appointments to complete their applications with trained volunteers (i.e. you!). This allows us to serve many more immigrants while engaging volunteers in the citizenship process!

What do I need to volunteer at the virtual workshop?
Stable WIFI connection
Access to a phone and Zoom (free to create account)
Adobe Reader (free to download)
Attend a one-hour training (live or watch a recording)
What will I do at the workshop?
Application assistance: Trained volunteers meet with pre-screened applicants one-on-one to complete their citizenship application, eventually passing materials to a volunteer attorney to review.
