Citizenship Workshop
Volunteer Registration

What is a workshop?

Workshops are our “group processing” model to help many hopeful applicants at once. We schedule applicants we screen as eligible to apply for workshop appointments to meet with volunteers to complete their application. Rather than using staff to meet with applicants one-on-one, this model allows us to serve many eligible immigrants and engage volunteers in the citizenship process!

What do I need to volunteer?

  • Attend/watch the mandatory training (first-time volunteers only)

Virtual workshops only

What will I do as a volunteer?

Application assistance

First-time volunteers and/or non-attorneys help pre-screened applicants to complete the citizenship application. First-time volunteers must attend or watch a one-hour training on citizenship eligibility and completing Form N-400 before participating.

Quality control

Licensed attorneys review completed applications with pre-screened applicants. First-time quality control volunteers must participate as application assistance one time or watch the one-hour application assistance training, as well as watch a one-hour quality control training before participating.
