Apply for citizenship before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services increases filing fees

Filing fees for many citizenship and immigration applications and petitions will increase on Oct. 2. Beginning on that date, fee waivers will no longer be available for many applications including for naturalization.

Until then the naturalization filing fee will be $725 ($640 filing fee plus $85 bio-metric/fingerprinting fee). After that, the fee goes up to $1,170.
